This species is from Taiwan, southern China, Korea and Japan on larger trees in moss covered forests at elevations of 300 to 2000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a slender, noded, creeping rhizome giving rise to fleshy, elliptic to suborbicular, subsessile leaves that blooms in the fall through spring on a basal, arising from nodes of the rhizome, erect, slender, 1/4 to 1.6" [.7 to 4 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
