Found in eastern New Guinea on trees in lower montane forests at elevations around 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with .2 to .4" [5 mm to 10 mm] between each cylindrical pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, ligulate, apiculate, attenuate below leaf that blooms late winter, spring and summer on a racemose, erect to archig , erinaceous-asperous, delicate, fractiflex, to 12" [to 30 cm] long, subdensely and successively many flowered inflorescence with triangular, tip acuminate, abxially with a distinct, deeply lacerate median keel or not floral bracts
