Found in the Philippines at elevations around 2100 to 2400 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with cylindric, depressed pseudobulbs carrying a single, erect, leathery, elliptic to oblanceolate, shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring through early summer on thread-like, slender, basal, erect , .4" [1 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with dull red flowers.
