Found in New Guinea on trees in forests at elevations around 1300 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte with close set pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, elliptic-ligulate, minutely apiculate leaf that blooms in the winter on a very short, fasciculate, single flowered inflorescence with a few bracts
