Found in Papua New Guinea in primary forests at elevations of 1800 to 2800 meters as a miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome and .4 to .8" [1 to 2 cm] between each ovoid pseudobulb and carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic to obovate, acute to acuminate, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter on a pendulous, [27 to 34 cm] long, 11 to 28 flowered inflorescence with 4 to 5 bracts and ovate, acute to acuminate floral bracts.
