Found in Madagascar on rocks in shady humid areas between 300 and 1400 meters, as a dense mat-forming, super miniature sized, warm to cool growing lithophyte and occasional epiphyte on tree trunks with globose to oblong, compressed pseudobulbs carrying 2 apical, narrowly elliptic to linear-ligulate, acute leaves which are shortly contracted basally that blooms in the spring and summer on a single flowered inflorescence.
