Common Name or Meaning The Pale Yellow Bulbophyllum

Found in Sarawak and Sabah Borneo in low and open, very wet, mossy forests at elevations around 1300 to 1600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with close set, rather inconspicuous, ascending, ovoid, flattened to concave on one side pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic, acute, shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on an erect, peduncle to .4 to .72" [1 to 1.8 cm] long, .8 to 1.2" [2 to 3 cm] long overall, single flowered inflorescence.
"Similar to some forms of the variable species B. tenuifolium (Blume) Lindl. It differs in having more closely packed pseudobulbs, as well as a more distinctly curved lip of a firm, not a very spongy, texture." Vermeulen & Lamb 1994
