Found in New Guinea on trees in lower range forests at elevations around 800 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte with a hanging rhizome with .4 to .6" [1 to 1.5 cm] between each, small, ovoid pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, broadly oval, apiculate leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a wiry, short to .48" [1.2 cm] long, few bracted, single flowered inflorescence with ovate, tip acuminate, shorter than the ovary floral bracts. .
Schlechter states that the flowers are pale pink with a reddish lip.
