Common Name The Spherical Bulbophyllum - China Qui jing juan ban lan
Flower Size .4" [1 cm]
Found in eastern Hainan province of China in mixed forests on tree trunks at elevations around 500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a slender rhizome with .4 to .6" [1 to 1.5 cm] between each single, fleshy, elliptic, obtuse, subsessile base leaf that blooms on several, usually arising from the leaf bearing nodes, erect, slender, .8 to 1.4" [2 to 3.5 cm] long, 2 flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, acute floral bracts and holding the flowers in an apical umbel.
