Common Name Hassalt's Bulbophyllum [Dutch Original collector of the type lte 1700's earlier 1800's]

Flower Size

Found in the Solomon Islands, Fiji and Niue in rainforests at elevations around 600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with clustered to .44" [1.1 cm] spaced, ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic, purple green above, paler green beneath, petiolate base leaf that blooms on a basal from the rhizome, ovate, acute bracts, to .2 to 2.2" [.5 to 5.5 cm] long,single flowered inflorescence carrying pale yellow to orange yellow flowers speckled with scarlet to dark purple, yellow petals, a crimson lip and a yellow column.
