Found in the Bismark Archipelago in lowland forests at elevations around 275 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with a long-creeping rhizome giving rise to erect, with up to 2.32" [5.8 cm] between each, flattened-ovoid, lenticular pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, ovate, acute, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect then nodding, peduncle erect, 6" [15 cm] long, provided with 4 bracts, rachis somewhat nodding, 4" [10 cm] long, to 10 flowered inflorescence with acute, shorter than the ovary floral bracts
