Found in New Guinea on trees in forests at elevations around 200 to 300 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, obovate obovate-ligulate, obtuse, narrowing below into the subpetiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring and fall on a thin, 1.6 to 2.4" [4 to 6 cm] long, few bracted, single flowered inflorescence with cucullate, as long as the ovary. floral bracts and carrying a non resupinate flower.
