Found in New Guinea on trees in forests at elevations around 150 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with narrowly conical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, ligulate, minutely apiculate, attenuate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on successive, short, few bracted, single flowered inflorescence with very small, many times shorter than ovary and pedicel floral bracts.

Schlechter states that the flowers are white with a red lip.
