Common Name The Six Rod Bulbophyllum [refers to the six extensions of the lip]

Flower Size .55 to .6" [1.3 to 1.5 cm]

Found in the Bismarck Islands, New Guinea, Fiji and New Caledonia in rainforest and strand forests at elevations of 50 to 500 meters as a medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with recurving stems carrying a single apical, ovate, obtuse, abruptly narrowing below into the base leaf that blooms in the spring on a short, single flowered inflorescence
