Found in Minas Gerais state of Brazil in Campo rupestre vegetation along the cerrado at elevations of 700 meters as a mini-mniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with deltoid, transversly elliptic, red brown, rugose pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, linear-lanceolate, , acute, coriaceous, abruptly constricted into the shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on a basal, erect peduncle, 3.2" [8 cm] long, provided with 3 tubular, triangular, acuminate bracts, rachis arching to pendulous, 2.8" [7 cm] long, distichously arranged, simultaneously 10 flowered inflorescence with sessile floral bracts.
