Common Name Howcroft's Bulbophyllum [Papuan resident orchid Biologist]

Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]

Found in Papua New Guinea as an epiphyte with 1.2 to 1.6 [3 to 4 cm] betweeen each pseudobulb and carrying a single, apical, erect leaf that blooms on a slender, 4" [10 cm] long, basal, often 2 to a pseudobulb, single flowered inflorescence that holds the flower just above the leaves. This species does well in hot to cool temperatures, partial shade and good air circulation.
