Found in New Guinea at elevations around 1100 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with subparellel to the rhizome, cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect-patent, obliquely linear-ligulate, acute to apiculate, narrowing below into the base leaf that blooms in the late fall and early winter on an erect, very short, few bracted, single flowered inflorescence.
