Common Name The Ikongo Bulbophyllum [a town in eastern Madagascar]

Found in south central Madagascar at elevations of 1000 to 1400 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with 1.2 to 1.6" [3 to 4 cm] between each narrwo, elongate, pale yellow, 4 winged pseudobulbs carrying 2 green, narrowly oblonceolate, very longly, attenuate below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on a basal, shorter than the leaves, 4 to 6" [10 to 15 cm] long, 6 to 7, large, acute, keeled winged bracted, slightly dense, many flowered inflorescence with a heavily reclining 1.8 to 2" [4.5 to 5 cm] long, thicker than the apex of the peduncle rachis and with acute, slightly shorter than the flower floral bracts,
