Found in Japan, the Ryukyus and Korea as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with distant, ovoid, small pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, fleshy, oblong-elliptic to elliptic-oblanceolate, often caniculate, obtuse to rounded, tapering to a short, petiolate base leaf and blooms on a short, basal, to .4" [1 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence that is held close to the pseudobulb and below the leaves.
