Found in the Moluccas and New Guinea on trees in range forests at elevations around 500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with .2 to .28" [5 to 7 cm] between each, incumbent, obliquely ovoid pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, patent, elliptic, apiculate, narrowing below into the base leaf that blooms in the winter on a very short, single flowered inflorescence.

Schlechter states that the flowers are red, white towards the base.
