Found in eastern Madagascar in humid lowland forests as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with a branching rhizome enveloped by sheaths and giving rise to flattened, ovoid-oblong pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, leathery, obovate leaves that blooms in the the spring on a short, single flowered inflorescencece
