Common Name The Jaduna Bulbophyllum [A town in New Guinea]

Flower Size

Found in eastern New Guinea in lower montane forests at elevations around 300 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with conic-cylindrical, depressed pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect to suberect, oblanceolate to oblanceolate-elliptic, obtuse, narrowing bewlow into the narrow subpetiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a thin, erect, single flowered inflorescence.

Said to be a synonym of Bulbophyllum alkmaarense with which it has many similarities. I have left them separate pending further references.

Synonyms Hapalochilus jadunae (Schltr.) Garay & W.Kittr. 1985 publ. 1986
