Found in the New Guinea on trees at elevations around 300 meters as a large sized, hot growing epiphyte with subparellel tothe rhizome, cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a single, erect, elliptic-ligulate, obtuse to subapiculate, narrowing below intothe subpetiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a very short, provided with a few sheaths, single flowered inflorescence carrying glabrous, pale yellow flowers.
