Found in Kalimantan Borneo in lower and upper montane forests at elevations of 1300 to 1800 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short, creeping rhizome with close set, ovoid, truncate pseudobulbs envelopoed in youth by fibrous sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect,fleshy, coriaceous,, oblong-elliptic to narrowly elliptic, acute, conduplicate below into the canalicualte, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter and fall on an erect, basal, peduncel to 1.2" [3 cm] long, white with pinkish streaks, emerging from a white, basal bract, rachis .44" [1.1 cm] long, gently curving, fleshy, angular, globose-capituliform, densely many flowered inflorescence with broadly ovate-triangular, acute to acuminate, concave, white spotted with pinkish purple, shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
