Found in western Sumatra at elevations of 600 to 2400 meters meters as a mini-miniature to small sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with not visible pseudobulbs carrying a single, tough, oblanceolate, obtuse, widest in apical 1/3, gradually narrowing below into the 2 to 5.2" [5 to 13 cm] long, petiolate base leaf that blooms on an erect, basal, peduncle 3 tubular, spaced bracts, 4.8" [12 cm] long, rachis 8.8" [22 cm] long, 12 to 15.2" [30 to 38 cm] long overall, many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, as long as or slightly longer than the pedicel floral bracts.
