Found in Kalimantan and Sabah Borneo in wet primary forests at elevations of 1200 to 1300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome giving rise to close set, ovoid, somewhat flattened to not pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic, obtuse, petiolate base leaf that blooms on a basal, peduncle .56 to 1" [1.4 to 2.5 cm] long, provided with 2 to 3 scales, 1.2 to 1.6" [3 to 4 cm] long overall, single flowered inflorescence with longer than the ovary floral bracts.
