Found in New Guinea in forests at elevations around 1300 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing epiphyte with close set, subparellel to the rhizome, subcylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, linear, acute, narrowly subpetiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a setiform, glabrous, [1.75 to 2 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.

Schlechter states that the flowers are a uniform golden yellow
