Found in Sabah Borneo in wet lower montane forests at elevations of 1500 to 2100 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte or lithophyte in moss cushions with a creeping rhizome with 1/4 to 1/2" [.7 to 1.1 cm] between each ovoid, somewhat flattened, adpressed to the rhizome pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, ovate to elliptic, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring and summer on an erect to horizontal, 1.4 to 2.2" [3.5 to 5.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with non scented flowers
