Common Name or Meaning The Shortly Wooly Bulbophyllum [refers tothe lip]

Flower Size .4" [1 cm]

Found in Thailand as a miniature sized epiphyte with globose, squashed flat, pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptic, acute, gradually narrowing below in to the elongate, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later spring on a basal, pendant, 7" [17.5 cm] long, short wooly, few opening successively several flowered inflorescence.

"Erroneously identified by Seidenfaden (1995) as B. penicillium; it differs from that species in its smaller stature, shorter peduncle, its crested, obtuse lip with woolly, wavy hairs (hence the specific epithet)." J J Vermeulen 2002
