Found on Luzon in the Philippines at elevations around 1000 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with close set, ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic to ovate, leathery, acute to subacute, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later spring on an erect to patent, peduncle 4.6 to 7.6" [11.5 to 19 cm] long, provided with c. 5 bracts, rhachis nodding, not thickened. 2 to 5.6" [5 to 14.5 cm] long, glabrous, to 13.2" [33 cm] long overall, elongated, rather lax, 21 to 44 flowered inflorescence with triangular, acute, shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
