Common Name or Meaning The Rough Lip Bulbophyllum [refers to the lip surface]
Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm]
Found in Sabah Borneo in high primary forests at elevations of 1300 to 1500 meters as a mini-miniature, cool growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome giving rise to close set, ovoid, flattened pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic to obovate, obtuse, shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a descending, peduncle to 1.8" [4.5 cm] long, 2.6" [6.5 cm] long overall, single flowered inflorescence with tubular, mush shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
