Found in New Guinea on trees in forests at elevations around 1100 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm growing epiphyte with subparellel to the rhizome, conical-cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a single apical, erect, linear, apiculate, narrow base leaf that blooms in the late winter and spring on a thin, short, laxly 2 to 4 flowered inflorescence
