Found in penninsular Malaysia in lowlands and hill forests as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with close set, small pseudobulbs enveloped completely by imbricating, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later summer on a basal, erect, to 4" [10 cm] long, several to 16 flowered inflorescence with floral bracts that are twice as long as the pedicels.
