Common Name Levy's Bulbophyllum [Mrs Ralph Levy current orchid enthusiast]

Flower Size 1 1/2" [3.75 cm]

Found in Papua and New Guinea at elevations around 800 meters as a small to medium sized, unifoliate epiphyte with closely spaced pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical leaf that has a basal, pendant, 16" [40 cm] long, racemose inflorescence with 3 to 4 flowers that is longer than the leaves. Best grown cool to warm with partial shade, ample water and require large pots or baskets to accomodate the rampant growth of the plant.
