Found in western New Guinea in upland forests at elevations around 2145 meters as a miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to close set, very small, depressed globise to subglobose pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, obovate-oblong to oblanceolae, obtuse to sometimes acute, fleahy, longitudinally grooved above, gradually narrwoing below into the base leaf that blooms on several, from the rhizome, peduncle warty, longitudinally grooved, obliquely thickened, clavate apex, very short, provided with sheaths, single flowered inflorescence with funnel-shaped, clasping, acuminate, membranous, apically reflexed, longer than the ovary floral bracts
