Found in the Lingga Islands of Sumatra at elevations of 50 to 500 meters as a miniature to small sized, hot growing epiphyte with close set, at an acute angle to the rhizome, obliquely ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, lanceolate, somewhat acuminate, minutely spotted beneath, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on an erect, basal, peduncle slender to 9.6" [24 cm] long, with 3 tubular sheaths rachis 1.28" [3.2 cm] long, thickened, 10.88" [ 27.2 cm] long overall, sucessively single, several flowered inflorescence with 2 ranked, clasping the rachis, broadly triangular, subulate floral bracts.
