Found in Sao Tome Island in evergreen forest at elevations of 1350 to 1400 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with 2 to 3 1/4" [5 to 8 cm] between each, ovoid, yellow green, 4 to 6 angled pseudobulb carrying 2 apical, narrowly lanceolate, petiolate leaves and blooms on a basal, 10" [25 cm] long, 3 to 10 flowered inflorescence with a somewhat swollen and compressed rachis and carrying distichous flowers arising on midline of the compressed side of the rachis
