Found in New Guinea on trees in forests at elevations around 400 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with 4 to 6.8" [10 to 17 cm] between each, cylindrical pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic-ligulate, acumninate glabrous, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on an erect, filiform, short to 1.2" [3 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with very small, much shorter than the ovary floral bracts.

Schlechter states that the flowers are white with pink striped sepals and petals and the lip is golden yellow.
