Found in New Guinea on trees in forests at elevations around 400 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with 4 to 6.8" [10 to 17 cm] between each, cylindrical pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic-ligulate, acumninate glabrous, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on an erect, filiform, short to 1.2" [3 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.

Schlechter states that the flowers are white with pink striped sepals and petals and the lip is golden yellow.
