Found in Papua and New Guinea in lowland forests at elevations of 820 to 900 meters as a small sized, warm growing, unifoliate epiphyte with narrowly lanceolate, acute, thick fleshy, above on either side of the longitudinal groove convex, narrowed below into a petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring and summer on a slender, wiry, basal, 4.8" [12 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence that holds the flower above the leaves.
Grows well in cool to hot temperatures, partial shade and can be put in baskets or pots.
