Found in New Caledonia in high elevation scrub at elevations below 1200 meters as miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with an ovate, adnate to the rhizome, single vertical groove on the side of the pseuodbulb carrying a single apical, erect, oblong, obtuse to rounded leaf, that blooms in the late fall and early winter on an erect 3.2" [8 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence
