Found in the Louisiade Archipelago of New Guinea in montane forest at elevations of 950 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a creeping, flexuous, terete, elongated rhizome with not persistent sheaths giving rise to ascending, .8" [2 cm] between each, oblongoid-depressed pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, obovate or broadly oblong, obtuse, fleshy coriaceous leaf that blooms on a solitary, from the axils of the rhizome sheaths, erect, peduncle slender, 1 to 1.32" [2.5 to 3.3 cm] long, provided at the base with a few small peduncle-scales, single flowered inflorescence with cucullate-elliptic, apiculate, much shorter than the slender pedicellate ovary floral bracts.
