Found in New Guinea in montane forests at elevations around 300 to 600 meters as a hot growing epiphyte with erect, subcylindric pseudobulbs carrying a single apical, erect, oblique, ligulate, apiculate leaf that blooms in the fall on a short, single flowered inflorescence with 2 bracts and a lanceolate, somewhat longer than the ovary floral bract.
