Found in Sumatra and Malaysia at elevations around 1000 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte with obliquely ovoid, unequally and obtusely 4 to 5 sided pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, elliptic to oblong-elliptic, tough and fleshy, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on a basal, starting thin and thickening towards the apex, 2" [5 cm] long, successively single flowered inflorescence
