Found in Madagascar in humid lowland and montane forests at elevations of 800 to 900 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with .6 to 1" between each subglobular to shortly ovoid, reddish pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic to oval, obtuse to apiculate, rounded basally leaf that blooms in the summer on a mostly longer than the leaf, peduncle, slightly flexuous, .8 to 1" [2 to 2.5 cm] long, rachis, short, capituliform, subglobular, densely 6 to 12 flowered inflorescence with oval-apiculate, slightly shorter than the flower bracts.
