Found in central Madagascar in Araucaria forests at elevations of 1200 to 2100 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a thin, repent, branching rhizome giving rise to applanate-ovoid, with .04 to .016" [1 to 4 mm] between each pseudobulb carrying 2 apical, erect, lanceolate, acute, subsessile to shortly petiolate base leaves that blooms in the later winter and spring on a horizontal, thin, 1.6 to 2.2" [4 to 5.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
