Common Name The Mount Makiling Bulbophyllum [A mountain in Luzon Philippines]

Found only in the Philippines at elevations of 800 to 1000 meters in montane forests on bases of small trees and shrubs as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a creeping, branching rhizome giving rise to fairly close set, ovoid to ovoid-conical, smooth or grooved, sub-tetragonal pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, leathery, flexible, elliptic to elliptic-oblong to narrowly oblong, acute, grooved above, keeled below, very shortly petiole base leaf that blooms in the spring on successively 3 to 8, erect to suberect, basal, thread-like, 1.2" to 2" [3 to 5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with funnel shaped bracts.
