Found in northern Sulawesi in montane forests at elevations of 1200 to 1600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with distinct, obliquely erect, ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, elliptic, ovate to obovate, acute, narrowing below into the shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms on a spreading, peduncle .12" to .16" [3 to 4 mm] long, .28 to .32" [7 mm to 8 mm] long overall, single flowered inflorescence.
