Common Name The Masoala Bulbophyllum [region of Madagascar]

Flower Size 1/4" [7 mm]

Found in the eastern forests of Madagascar at elevations of 300 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with 1 to 1.2" [2.5 to 3 cm] between each ovoid-conical, 4 angled, pseudobulb carrying 2, apical, oblong-lingulate, obtuse, slightly attenuate into the base leaves that blooms in the spring on a refelexed, peduncle provided with 5 sheaths, 10" [25 cm] long overall, rachis thinner, to 2.8” [7 cm] long, clear colored, many flowered inflorescence with according to Cribb 2009 red flowers
