Common Name The Mentum Bulbophyllum [refers to the mentum that is formed beneath the column and the lateral sepals]

Found in Minas Gerais, Bahia and Santa Catarina states of Brazil on rocks at elevations of 1000 to 1700 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing rupicolus lithophyte with a rhizome with 1" [2,5 cm] between each, angular pseuodbulb carrying a single, apical, erect, fleshy, rigid, oblong leaf that blooms in the spring on a basal, erect, wine colored peduncle 14" [35 cm] long, rachis 4" [10 cm] long and at a right angle to the peduncle, 10 to 30 flowered inflorescence with the flowers adpressed to the rachis.
