Found in New Guinea on trees in range forests at elevations around 1000 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with .28 to .52" [.7 to 1.3 cm] between each obliquely ovoid pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, linear-ligulate, obtuse, attenuate below into the base leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a setiform, .8 to 1" [2 to 2.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.

The flowers are yellowish with a violet pink lip.
